Survival Motion
Hi!
This is my 3rd Blog Site I'm quite pleased to announce that July 19, 2005 has been productive in the sense of getting my message out. I heard from Bill Wynn, early this morning, as he was putting the proverbial bug in this fimmaker's ear about the necessity for the Los Angeles Film Festival. I had gone to the Director's Guild on Sunset near Fairfax a few weeks ago to see John Singleton's "Hustle & Flow." There was something about the title that intrigued me. That, coupled with the fact that the Executve Producer, Dwight Williams, was a trainee with me at MGM Studios in a time long ago. I thought that I might run into Dwight, compare notes, perhaps get a few pointers, humble filmmaker that I am. Alas! All of the tickets were accounted for. I made the best of the situation, followed the instructions of my lead actress in "Prelude: Hum Harper," Madison Lee - a fine Korean actrsss - and networked intensively. I made 9 good contacts. One person thought that I was familiar. I know that I had never seen them before, so I didn't bust the bubble, so to speak, just nodded patiently and took the number that was offered.
The title of this Blog is "Survival Motion." Some of you might wonder how I got a title like that. Well, it is the title of a short story that I wrote. I'm wondering now whether it might have been a psychic impulse on my part. One of my Uncles in West Virginia told me that the entire month of June was mine in a literal as well as a figurative sense, since June 2nd is my birthday. By the way, speaking of West Virginia, I was published in the Charleston, West Virginia Gazette on June 29, 2005. There was truly a tragic incident that occasioned this, I might add. One of my Uncles' grand-daughters was killed in an unfortunate auto accident on June 22nd enroute to Louisiana.
Take care when you drive a car, ride a bus, even walking can be hazardous to your health. I don't mean that you should live each day in fear, but, do be careful, look both ways before you cross the street and live each day to the fullest.
It's getting late, or I should say, early in the morning in Hollywood. I'm going to put this Pen to bed. Goodnight, God Bless and may the Devil take what's left!

Let me know if the type size is too small, if you would, I checked and it is minute to my eyes. I think that I'll ask the Powers that Be if I can get the largest type size possible.
